My name is John Acott and I am a 70-year-old Englishman (and Belizean) living in Santa Elena; which is the twin town of San Ignacio, separated only by the beautiful Macal River.
I first came to Belize with the Royal Air Force, in which I served for 25 years. Soon after that, I resigned from the RAF and came to live in Belize, a decision I have never regretted. I have been living here for 34 years and have no plans to ever leave this beautiful country. I was a long-term member of the Rotary Club of San Ignacio, Chairman of the Twin-Towns Crime Committee, and a former director of the local Adventist Hospital. I am a proud member of the Association of Real Estate Brokers of Belize (AREBB).

Sunny smiles from Belize. I am Lincoln Eiley and I was born and raised on the island of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize. I grew up in a humble home. My mother raised six of us while my dad (now deceased) spent most of his life making his living as a fisherman in the beautiful waters of this Caribbean jewel. It has been working for me since I was 12 years old. Growing up back then in the most popular tourist destination now in Belize was a wonderful world and time. It is a time capsule that will forever be with me in perpetuity. I was there to see and live through the changes from a beautiful sleepy fishing village turning into this tourist island destination that everyone around the world wanted a piece of or wanted to visit.
Growing up to see the changes from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s was life to me. After graduating from high school back in the early eighties, I worked as the island’s first town administrator in 1985 for 7 1/2 years. In 1996 I opened my real estate office and served the island for 12 successful years, building lasting friendships and business relationships that still exist today, even after 21 years. I moved to Corozal approximately 9 years ago, where I currently live with my wife, 2 sons, and daughter.
I have been established as an independent realtor here since then and now feel happier to have just joined the RE/MAX Property Center family so I can continue to better serve those that choose to call my country their home. I have served for two years, in the capacity of past director of the Association of Real Estate Brokers of Belize (ARREB). Perhaps I am one of the few local Belizeans in real estate that has 21 years of experience in this business. I have built countless relationships and networks with other fellow realtors around the country who are members of either two of our real estate associations and have no problem co-brokering with any realtor.
