Nationals of the following countries do not require visas to enter Belize: European Union countries, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, USA, Venezuela and CARICOM member states.
If you will be staying in Belize for an extended period of time, you must obtain a visa.
Visas are valid until 30 days from date of entry. Extensions are granted upon request and the following charges apply: 1. Up to 6 months – USD $25 2. After 6 months- USD $50 per month.

Passengers coming to Belize on cruise ships do not require passports (although it’s always prudent to have your passport handy); in all other cases valid passports are required. Please note that driver’s licenses and birth certificates are not considered valid travel documents.
